A year after the scandal over Stormfront's (Aya Cash) extremist profile, Butcher (Karl Urban) and the Boys work as contractors for Victoria Neuman's Bureau of Superhero Affairs. They want to eliminate problematic Supes. They use Hughie as their liaison.

Vought's CEO, Stan Edgar, wants to restore his reputation. He offers Annie (Erin Moriarty) to be the leader of the Seven.

Edgar also tries to sell a new variant of the V compound to the US Secretary of Defense.

The Payback, superheroes whose popularity disappeared after the formation of the Seven, is sought by Maeve. With Butcher's help, they seek to learn more about the death of their leader, Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles).
