Many people believe that giving the silent treatment is a dignified response to an argument, but it is not. The silent treatment is a form of ostracism. Therefore, a passive form of abuse. It is employed with the intent to punish someone and thus yields harmful repercussions. In this video, we'll talk about the psychological reasons to explain why you feel that way and how harmful giving someone the cold shoulder can be.
