We have all experienced manipulation, such as emotional manipulation and gaslighting, from others. So it is highly possible that we have been manipulative to others at some point, even if we don’t realize we have. Unintentional manipulation is not uncommon and it probably happens more regularly than we are perhaps comfortable to know or admit. One study on non-Machiavellian manipulation suggests that in order for manipulation to occur, there needs to be a combination of intent and recklessness. It can be confusing to know what unintentional manipulation might look like or come across, so we made this video to help you out.
We also made a video on the signs of emotional abuse: https://youtu.be/K_CCA7KAou4
