Molly is over-the-moon to be sent to Afghanistan as a medic on one of the army's final deployments. But when she arrives she knows she needs to prove herself to her new platoon. Things take a bad turn when she fails to cut it more than once, but worse than that she has to deal with an old-flame who is part of the regiment and who makes her life harder than it should be.
She gets no help or support from her commanding officer, the haughty Captain James, who doesn't seem to notice just how brilliant she really is at her job.
The challenge is on for Molly Dawes to prove her worth to him. So when an unforeseen event puts a soldier's life in danger Molly gets to prove she's more than one of the boys, she's our girl.
