Dare to Watch: Marvel's Daredevil

Marvel’s Daredevil is not just another superhero TV series. It is a combination of action, adventure, crime, drama, fantasy, science-fiction and thriller genres that takes you on an exhilarating ride through the tumultuous life of Matt Murdock. As an attorney by day and vigilante by night, Murdock uses his heightened senses to fight crime on the streets of New York after being blinded in an accident as a child.

The show features Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil who has also impressed us with his other performances such as Echo and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Supporting characters like Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk / Kingpin) further enhance the storyline with their impeccable acting skills.

The plot thickens when Wilson Fisk -- aka Kingpin -- whose interests collide with those of Daredevil does not welcome Murdock's efforts. The character of Matt Murdock is portrayed as a complex individual who leads a double life as a lawyer and a vigilante. He is not super strong or invulnerable but possesses heightened senses that aid him in his crime-fighting endeavors. The show delves into the moral conflicts faced by Murdock as he balances his legal career with his vigilante activities.
