The plot thickens when Wilson Fisk -- aka Kingpin -- whose interests collide with those of Daredevil does not welcome Murdock's efforts. The character of Matt Murdock is portrayed as a complex individual who leads a double life as a lawyer and a vigilante. He is not super strong or invulnerable but possesses heightened senses that aid him in his crime-fighting endeavors. The show delves into the moral conflicts faced by Murdock as he balances his legal career with his vigilante activities.
