Although Marvel comics have been around since 1939, as Timely Comics, the release of Fantastic Four Number 1 in 1961 is said to mark the beginning of the Marvel Comic Universe. This issue is worth up to $800,000 dollars!
The 1994 Fantastic Four movie was allegedly scrapped because of how awful it was, but it has also been claimed that it was never intended to be released. Rather, it was created so the producer could hold onto the movie rights, something the cast and crew were never told during filming.
