Alors que le procès du lanceur d'alerte Antoine Deltour, ayant révélé le LuxLeaks s'ouvre le 26 avril, le Parlement Européen a voté début avril la directive sur le secret des affaires. Loin de protéger les PME contre l'espionnage industriel, cette directive sert en fait à entraver le travail des lanceurs d'alerte et des journalistes. Un effet qui arrange bien les entreprises ayant promu ce texte, ainsi que Jean-Claude Juncker, ex Premier Ministre du Luxembourg et président de la Commission Européenne.
