Six years after the previous episode and the marriage of Daemon and Rhaenyra.

Princess Rhaenys Targaryen has not seen her husband, Lord Corlys, for six years. He is away in battle. In fact, he would have died in battle. She prefers to see for herself when her ship returns. Vaemond Velaryon is already positioning himself as the successor to rule Lamarck.

Daemon goes to collect the three eggs of the dragon Syrax. They bring him a message that he rushes to communicate to Rhaenyra.
Rhaenyra is expecting a new child. She supervises her son Jacaerys' High Valyrian classes.
Vaemond wants to question the legitimacy of Rhaenyra and her children during a prestigious meeting to choose the successor to the throne of Lamarck.
Lord Caswell welcomes Rhaenyra to the Kingdom with a disconcerted expression. Viserys is bedridden and dying.
Alicent has to greet the guests, but Erryk, a soldier, announces that his son had an incident in his room. Aegon has raped a servant girl, Diana. Alicent asks the young woman not to say anything so as not to damage the son's image.
Rhaenyra presents her two new children to Viserys, Aegon III and Viserys II.
At the hearing on the choice of the heir to the throne of Lamarck, Otto and Alicent want Rhaenyra to have no place in the succession. Viserys' health is a serious advantage to tip the scales in favor of the Hightowers.
