Rejoints par Stève dans l'arène, Burt et Stan truquent le combat pour éviter de se blesser mutuellement. Agacé, l'organisateur renvoie Stan et précise aux deux autres que leur prochain combat sera à mort. Finalement, Stan leur permet de sortir de l'arène en utilisant pour la première fois avec succès son pouvoir. Pendant ce temps, les super-héros se révoltent contre les privilèges et le confort excessif dont dispose Mac Kormack par rapport au reste du groupe. Alors qu'ils se préparent à mener des actions pour prouver leur valeur, une bête entre dans le château mais est stoppée par Jennifer. John redonne le pouvoir à Mac Kormack mais l'oblige à choisir un successeur. Miss Moore est désignée par son ancien patron.
