Alfie and Michael return from Brighton. Jack punches Michael, believing he come on to Ronnie. Michael insists Ronnie fancies him, not the other way around, but Ronnie denies it. At Ronnie’s insistence, Jack tries to buy Michael’s share of the boxing gym lease. Michael agrees, on one condition, Jack asks Ronnie about the photo she has of him. Roxy’s jealous when she sees Michael in the Vic with another woman. Jack searches through Ronnie’s things and finds the photo.
Alfie and Kat avoid each other. Jane offers Alfie work at the chip shop. Persuaded by Jane and Michael, Alfie’s nearly goes to see Kat but walks away after Janine tells him Kat’s flirting with all the single men in the Vic.
Janine reminds Whitney she only let her come back to the flat on condition she paid her way. Ryan invites Whitney to have breakfast with him; he’s going to work up north for a while. Heather arrives at Shirley’s clutching a DVD and is upset when no-one’s there. She and George retreat to the launderette and sit by the tumble dryers for warmth.
