That morning, on the outskirts of Lusagne, Alex Hugo found a young man prostrate in a rusty car who claimed to be named Léo Melino. Angelo, who had taken part in the search for Leo's disappearance seven years earlier, at the age of 11, was very emotional. While Angelo is quick to rejoice, Alex finds the story a little too good. He is touched by the immediate reconnection between the mother and her eldest, by the family's welcome to the son he has found, but remains perplexed by the young man's account of his abduction and his years of absence.
