Sonic Prime Netflix Animated Series Clip Introduces Big the Cat and Froggy

Netflix showed off a new clip of its upcoming animated series Sonic Prime, and the footage introduced fans to Big the Cat and Froggy.

The clip was revealed during Netflix Geeked Week and shows the fan-favorite fishing cat and his froggy friend getting interrupted by Sonic who is on a mission to save their friends.

Big the Cat first appeared in Dreamcast’s Sonic Adventure and has been a recurring character ever since. Froggy also first hopped on the scene in Sonic Adventures.

Announced last year, Sonic Prime is a new animated series streaming exclusively on Netflix. We got our first look at the show last month, and got another brief clip during this week’s Sonic Central stream.

The series is a collaboration between the streaming giant, Sega, and the Man of Action Entertainment, with the latter serving as both the showrunners and executive producers in this new animated series based on the Blue Blur.

Sonic Prime will task the titular character with a “race to save the universe” while Sonic also embarks on “a journey of self-discovery and redemption.” The series will consist of 24 episodes.
