In the great north of Chile, around 1907, two little brothers, Antonio and Pedro, were forcibly separated after the murder of their parents. Antonio was adopted by Gregorio Sanfuentes, an officer, while Pedro runs away from a home for minors, growing up on the streets of the city of Valparaíso. Thirty years later, they meet again without knowing that they are brothers. The two brothers become implacable enemies, even more so when they fall in love with the same woman: Eloísa González.
