WHAT IS WESTWORLD?? HBO's Westworld Origins Explained!

1 Mitglied

Westworld is a new epic, sci-fi / western series on HBO. and judging from the dark, trippy promos we’ve seen, HBO is betting this series becomes its new must-see show once Game of Thrones ends in a few years. But what is Westworld, exactly? Erik Voss explains the series’ connections to the 1973 Michael Crichton film it’s loosely based on, as well as the other influences that producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy Nolan, and J.J. Abrams use to make Westworld a fascinating sci-fi universe: Jurassic Park, Battlestar Galactica, the work of Stanley Kubrick, Lost, Blade Runner, and more. Erik also explores the show’s big mysteries: Who is Ed Harris’ mysterious Man in Black? What are the real motives of the shadowy Delos Corporation? Can robots get pregnant? (Asking for a friend.)
