LORE - Starfox Lore in a Minute!
Our story begins on the planet Corneria, the capital planet of the Lylat system, home of nearly all sentient life. Under the employment of the Cornerian Leader, General Pepper, a genius scientist named Andross continues to conduct dangerous experiments which result in an explosion claiming hundreds of lives. As punishment, (General Pepper sends) Andross is exiled to the planet Venom where it is assumed he has no chance of survival. While in exile, Andross discovers a sentient race of lizards and incepts the seed of hatred against the Cornerians in their ~minds~.
Five years later, detecting strange activity on Venom, Pepper sends a band of mercenaries, the Star Fox team, to investigate. Consisting of three members, James McCloud, Peppy Hare, and Pigma Dengar, the Star Fox team travels to Venom only to be betrayed by Pigma and ambushed by the army Andross has amassed. Peppy barely escapes and James is assumed killed.
Peppy returns to Corneria to warn Pepper and inform James' son, Fox McCloud of his father's death. Years pass, and Andross mounts an invasion against the Lylat system leaving only Corneria. A desperate General Pepper contacts the new Star Fox team to act as the last line of defense: led by Fox McCloud, Slippy Toad, Falco Lombardi, and finally Peppy, barrel roll expert--actually it's called the Aileron Roll.
