Lore For Noobs - The Horde Part 6

The war had finally began to turn in The Alliance's favor, and they weren't just going to let the Horde escape back to Blackrock Mountain to rebuild their army and attack again, not at all. They were going to hunt them down to the end of the world. Literally. Anduin Lothar began to chase Doomhammer all the way back to their main base.
The Alliance's army was that of a bull dozer taking down every Horde outpost they passed by, most importantly the one right outside of a little dwarven town called Ironforge located in Dun Morogh, where The Alliance recruited the Ironforge dwarves and the Gnomeregan Gnomes into The Alliance.

The Alliance eventually arrived at Blackrock mountain and went into siege mode. The goal was to completely obliterate the remainder of The Horde. But Anduin Lothar wasn't an arrogant fool, he knew there was no guarantee that they would win and if they were going to, it would be a long and hard battle to the end. And neither was Doomhammer, he knew that if they lost this battle it would be the end for the Horde as he knew it.

So the battle began and after a while, it became clear to Doomhammer that unless he did something, they would surely lose, and so he did something. Orgrim scanned the battlefield looking for one man, The Lion of Azeroth himself, Anduin Lothar. Orgrims idea was simple, remove the head of the monster to kill the beast. So Doomhammer charged through the battle and attacked Anduin and their duel began. Both combatants were extremely skilled and their battle went on for minutes until Anduin slipped up, and made a single mistake. Orgrim took his shot, and dealt the killing blow.

Orgrim thought he had won and that without their leader the humans would crumble. But as an alien, he knew nothing about the true power of humans, how united they were as a race and that they werent stupid sheep who would be lost and confused without their herder. That turned out to be the biggest mistake anyone had made in this war. In divine and holy vengeance, Turalyon struck down Orgrim doomhammer with the power of the light. Blood and thunder, right? But Orgrim was not dead, he was just incapacitated and in an act of mercy, Turalyon let him live as a prisoner of The Alliance.

Without Orgrim the Horde's army fell apart and was slaughtered. Those who survived and surrendered were taken as prisoners. The Second War came to a close and all The Alliance had to do was mop up the few remaining Horde survivors. Little did they know how challenging that would be.
