Star Trek: Strange New Worlds – Meet the New Crew of the USS Enterprise

IGN can exclusively reveal character posters of the USS Enterprise’s new crew in the upcoming Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, including Anson Mount’s Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn’s Number One, Ethan Peck’s Spock, and Celia Rose Gooding’s Cadet Nyota Uhura.

The posters, which you can see below, feature the crew standing in front of… well… strange new worlds that they may or may not explore as they journey through the galaxy in the years before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series.

While there is no poster of Paul Wesley’s James T. Kirk as he won’t be appearing until Strange New World’s second season, we do get a look at the full crew of regulars. In addition to Pike, Spock, Number One, and Uhura, that also includes Jess Bush’s Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong’s La’an Noonien-Singh, Melissa Navia’s Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun’s Dr. M’Benga, and Bruce Horak’s Hemmer.

Of course, fans know several of these characters will go on to serve on the Enterprise when Captain Kirk takes command someday. That includes Dr. M’Benga, who was played by Booker Bradshaw in two episodes of The Original Series. Ortegas, Hemmer, and Noonien-Singh appear to be new characters, although co-showrunner Akiva Goldsman has confirmed that the latter character is “related to” the infamous Trek villain Khan Noonien-Singh.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will debut on Paramount+ on Thursday, May 5, and new episodes of the 10-episode first season will be available to stream every Thursday after that.

The series premiere was written and directed by Akiva Goldsman, with a story by Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman, and Jenny Lumet. Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers will serve as co-showrunner.
